Anthony Barton
Anthony Barton is a Scottish-born painter and writer who has lived in Newfoundland since the early 1970s. He has travelled the world and these travels have inspired much of his painting, focussing on the exotic offerings of nature encountered. Barton also lectured at Dalhousie University from 1974-1998. His fascination with nature and the fantastical is also evident in his publications including Horsy Hops, a Newfoundland mythology in pictures (Breakwater Books, 2003) and Bat Rider: One Hundred Drawings for Children (Bulmer Press, 2011).
